Bursitis of the carpal or tarsal is a firm or fluctuating swelling along the pre-carpal bursa and acquired subcutaneous bursa over the lateral aspect of the cow's hock.

Symptoms

Firm swelling over the hock or knee
Seropurulent discharge
Distension of joint capsule
Lameness
Heat and pain
