Selenium weed (Neptunia amplexicaulis) is a herbaceous legume found in Australia. It is one of the strongest selenium hyperaccumulating plant species on Earth. This means that it stores large amounts of selenium that it absorbs from the surrounding soil. If ingested by cattle it can cause selenium toxicity.
The highest concentrations of selenium in the plant are in the young leaves, flowers, pods and taproot.
